Rhododendron ‘Loderai Titan’ – looking at it’s showstopping best NOW!
Here at the Lost Gardens of Sevenoaks we are blessed to have one of the best examples of Loderai Titan in the UK. And it’s looking at it best right now, so come on down and see it before it’s blooms are over for another year.
Prized for its powerful fragrance and pretty blooms, it is a large evergreen shrub of incredible beauty. Opening from bright pink flower buds into huge, lily-like blooms that are pure white and heavily scented. Infact their perfume is heady and wafts on the spring breeze like a kiss. Blooming profusely from mid to late spring Reuthe’s has one of the oldest and tallest examples for visitors to enjoy. Tucked away at the end of Camellia Walk towards the back boundary of our 11acre site, you will likely have this beauty to yourself for a few moments of calm and inner contemplation. There are further noteworthy trees to see on your visit to The Lost Gardens that is proud to have won 28 gold medals at RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
Loderai Titan is rightly regarding as one of the finest hybrids ever raised and surprisingly, for such a stunning yet delicate looking specimen, it is hardy down to -18degs in it’s homeland of the Himalayan mountains where India borders Tibet.
