FAQs to Enjoy Your Time at Reuthe's

What is your location?

Our full address is Reuthe’s, Sevenoaks Road, Seal Chart, Sevenoaks, TN15 0HB. Sat nav might take you, annoyingly, to the Crown Point pub, but we are well sign-posted just next door.

When are you open?

We are open all year round, including over the winter, from Tuesday to Saturday from 8.30am-4.30pm and 10am-3pm on Sunday. We are closed on Mondays.

Is entrance and parking free?

Reuthe’s has no entry fee and has free parking for cars and coach groups. This is really important to us so there is access and chance for everyone to enjoy the Lost Gardens of Sevenoaks.

Are there any rules?

The Lost Gardens of Sevenoaks have a rich horticultural history. There are many Reuthe’s hybrids on site and rare species of rhododendron and other trees and shrubs.

Please do:

  • respect the plants and wildlife
  • explore the gardens for yourself
  • bring your camera and binoculars

Please don’t:

  • break or remove any plants
  • disturb or harm any wildlife
  • drop litter
  • light fires, drop cigarettes or let off fireworks
Is Reuthe's suitable for families?

The Lost Gardens are wonderful for nature lovers of all ages, we have baby changing facilities and level access for people with walking sticks or those slightly wobbly on their feet. If you’re coming for a walk up through the woods, we’d probably suggest a baby carrier for little people rather than a buggy, unless you’re feeling particularly strong. The tracks are great for mountain bikes too.

Is there disabled access?

We have disabled toilets, level access into Basecamp café and a ramp to the terrace area.

Are you dog-friendly?

If you’re a regular at Reuthe’s, you will have seen our gorgeous nursery dog George! We love dogs of all shapes and sizes and welcome them on site, but they are the owners’ responsibility. We have livestock on site, our two alpacas Nuzzle and Scratch, who are penned in a private area so ask that dogs are kept well away. Well-behaved dogs who come to command are welcome to go off-lead. We also ask that dogs stay outside Basecamp cafe, for the comfort of all our guests - we have dog biscuits and water bowls provided outside.
