Dedicate a Tree

The Lost Gardens of Sevenoaks is an acclaimed rare species arboretum created in 1902 by renowned plantsman Gustav Reuthe set in 11-acres of ancient woodland part of the horticultural miracle that is the Greensand Ridge in the beautiful Weald of Kent.

The historic gardens are currently being restored to its former glory. We are situated in woodland on a gently sloping hill with acidic, sandy and free-draining soil. These are ideal growing conditions for the 300 varieties of rhododendrons growing on site and other acid loving plants such as rare trees, conifers, oaks, azaleas and camellias. Some of our species are so special that they are the only ones left in the World.

Reuthe’s has won 28 gold medals at RHS Chelsea Flower Show for its world beating plants and there are a number of notables amongst our famous customer base including Winston Churchill and members of the Royal Family.
