Alpaca Treks & Woodland Owl Walks
Enjoy a trek with our Alpaca or a Woodland Owl Walk!
Our Alpaca treks and Woodland Owl Walks in Kent are ideal as a one off experience, or can be integrated into one our fabulous Children’s parties. (Please contact the team directly if you want it to be part of a party booking). Unaccompanied Adults also love our animal experiences!
The gardens are quite hilly in places so please bring suitable footwear for a woodland walk and, given we are in the UK, a waterproof in case of the the highly unlikely event of a rain shower!!!!!
After your animal experience you can relax at our Café serving a wide range of hot and cold meals ,snacks , drinks and cakes. Gluten Free and Vegan Options are available. Contact us to add a table reservation for your chosen time.
More Information
For more information on our alpaca Treks please check out the tabs below or select a date from the calendar at the bottom of this page.
How To Book?
- 60 Minute Alpaca Experience
- Introduction to the alpaca
- Take your alpaca for a walk in our Ancient Woodland.
- Opportunity to hand feed and interact with the alpacas
- Lots of photo opportunities
Upon arrival please check-in at our onsite Café – The Woodland Bistro where a member of our alpaca Team will be waiting for you.
After a short introduction and briefing you’ll be taken to our Alpaca Pen where Nuzzle & Scratch will be eagerly awaiting your visit. Our Alpaca whisperer will show you how we get the alpaca onto the lead rope or if you’re feeling bold you can help them do this!
From here it’s time for the trek. We say trek but don’t be alarmed it’s more of a stroll. Well it’s more of a short stroll, stop and eat some greenery, stroll, greenery, stroll, greenery. As you can guess the boys love going on a trek as they get to eat lots of delicious snacks from our gardens! Along the way our alpaca Team will be on hand to answer any questions you may have. Our team are more than happy to take lots of photos with you and the alpaca too so don’t forget your phone!
Our gardens are stunning all year round so there will be lots to see as Nuzzle and Scratch lead the way. We have many unique specimen of rhododendron, azalea and camellia. We have several routes available so if you would prefer a more moderate route please just let our Alpaca Team know at check in. We have a great view point but this does involve a steep hill.
At the end of your trek you’ll be able to take the Alpaca back to their pen for some more photo opportunities and hand feeding. If you’d like to stop for lunch at The Woodland Bistro after your trek you can pre order food when you check in and we will have this ready for you when you finish.
Our Alpaca Treks are suitable for all ages however we do recommend that babies are carried in a sling. If you do prefer to bring a pushchair we can take a more accessible route.
Our gardens can be steep in places so unfortunately our treks are not suitable for wheelchairs or mobility scooters.
Dogs cannot accompany you on your trek.
Our treks are available all year round. These are predominantly on weekends between 9am-4pm.
If you would like a trek on a date not shown on our calendar please contact our events team by email events@reuthesevenoaks.com and they will try to accommodate your chosen date.
We have a wide range of Alpaca activities suitable for schools and large groups.
We are also able to offer Alpaca Birthday Parties!
To discuss your requirements please e-mail events@reuthesevenoaks.com

Today we visited Reuthes to walk the alpacas with our children and we had a really lovely time. We all learnt so much on our walk and really had fun. Lilly was the perfect guide with such great knowledge of the animals and she made our experience very enjoyable, we couldn’t have asked for more! Thank you for having us we highly recommend to anyone and everyone!!

My Daughter and I had a wonderful walk with the alpacas today. The forest is beautiful and the lady who took us on our trek made it really special for us. Definitely recommend to anyone especially those with children.
